Jay Cavaiani, Lead Pastor
I am so thankful you are checking out our website. I hope to meet you. I love to meet people for coffee at Mama D’s in Wales or the new cafe Blue Marble Bistro which is attached to the church. Please let me know if you would like to visit.
A little about our family: Kelly and I have been married for 24 years. Praise the Lord! Our oldest Jacob works for NBC nightly news in New York City. Abby, our middle child, goes to Missouri State and is a golfer. My youngest son Caleb just graduated Kettle Moraine High School in June, 2020. Kelly and I live not far from church in a little house in the woods. We love to hike, jog, most things outdoors, and we both enjoy golf.
I would love to share with you a little about my perspective on the church and the churches mission. I believe wholeheartedly in our mission to equip believers to be fruitful and it influences the way I teach and preach on Sundays. I desire to provide rich, in-depth teaching focused on God’s Word where people learn something of substance that helps them believe, mature, and bear fruit for God. Although we are a church for anyone looking to discover Jesus or grow in Him, we unashamedly exist to equip believers to be fruitful. We seek to serve meat and not just milk. We desire for people to leave a Sunday service feeling challenged, equipped, and encouraged to live for Jesus. Our church does an amazing job welcoming new people and our size (150ish seat sanctuary) and comfortable setting fosters people becoming part of our family quickly. With that said, we are not seeking first to be a seeker sensitive church, but rather a church that is first focused on equipping the believer. We think even seekers sense something inauthentic in churches when worship feels like a rock concert and the Sunday service that feels like a scripted performance. We want our draw to be the teaching of God’s inspired Word with the help of the Holy Spirit.
We hope you come visit! When you do our desire is to provide you with a warm and sincere welcome in a comfortable setting that helps you get excited that you may have just found a church home. Finally, and even more importantly, we hope when you get in your car and reflect on your experience that you feel you have been spiritually impacted by the teaching of God’s Word and desiring to come back again soon.
