Meet Our Staff


  • Jay Walls ~ Lead Pastor

    Jay serves as the Lead Pastor of Crossing Community Church. He has a deep love for God’s Word and a heart to shepherd people with humility, honesty, and care. His desire is to see the church rooted in Scripture, shaped by prayer and formed into a community that lives out genuine worship in everyday life.


    In addition to pastoral ministry, Jay is a worship leader, songwriter, author and speaker. He has spent many years in formal theological study, focusing on Scripture, theology, worship and pastoral ministry.


    Jay and his wife, Erica, have been married since 2004. They have seven children, with several still at home and are also the proud grandparents of five. Together, they value faith, authenticity and life shared in community.

    Outside of ministry, Jay and Erica enjoy Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (both are blue belts), good coffee, football, the UFC, movies and cooking for family and friends.

  • Nikki Streit ~ Office Manager & Teen Ministry Director

    Nikki Streit is married and a mother of "Irish Twin" boys. She enjoys spending time with her family, crocheting, drawing, painting and Milwaukee Brewers Baseball. She has been at Crossing Community Church since 2018 starting as the Children's Ministry Coordinator and moving into Office Management in 2020. 


    In 2025, she has been added as the Teen Ministry Director, working with the Teen Ministry Leader. 


    Working at Crossing Community Church has matured her faith and she continues to grow every day.
